Chair of the LGBTQIA+ Caucus
Ending last year, I served as the Chair of the LGBTQIA+ Caucus where we accomplished our largest goal, reorganizing the caucus. In this roll I worked with other members of our LGBQTQIA+ Caucus to establish a functioning board, raise critical funds and show up for LGBTQIA+ Democrats throughout New Mexico. We additionally built deep and genuine relationships with rural and urban Democrats.
Chair of The Torrance County Democratic Party
I would like to firstly say, thank you to Democratic County Party Chairs for everything that you do to organize in our communities and protect our democracy. In being a former Chair of a county party, I understand the struggles faced in our rural communities and the needs we have. In my position I worked within Torrance County to deepen our connections with our Land Grant/Merced communities and to build strong coalitions. In being a rural County Party Chair, I first know what it is like to organize in conservative New Mexico. This experience is foundational to why I am running for Vice Chair of the Democratic Party of New Mexico.
